Pegs FAQUpdated a year ago

What are pegs?

Pegs are handle little tools that are perfect for securing your washing to the line so it doesn't blow away!

How will Pegs solve the single-use plastic problem?

You’ve seen ‘em! You know ‘em! Those faded, dried-out plastic pegs that break whenever they need to stretch to clip a fluffy towel on the Hills Hoist.

They start out all bright and shiny and then BAM💥 in no time they end up as microplastics in landfill that take hundreds of years to break down. And if you’ve ever done a beach clean up, there are always plenty of them washed up.

It’s time to make the switch…

What are these pegs made from?

Zero Co pegs are made from marine grade steel, so that they resist corrosion from salt water. This makes our pegs especially good if you live in a coastal area! We have specifically used 316 stainless steel, which has an additional 2 - 3% molybdenum content. The added molybdenum makes the metal more resistant to pitting and corrosion, as well as improving resistance when exposed to elevated temperatures.

Can the pegs be recycled?

Yes! We expect our pegs to last for a very long time but if you run over one with the lawn mower you can put it in your regular recycling bin.

Can the box be recycled?

Yes, absolutely! It's made from cardboard.

Where are your pegs made?

Our Stainless Steel Pegs are manufactured in China. We were unfortunately unable to source a local Aussie manufacturer to make these babies!
